- 5/6 Learning Community
The 5/6 students have been working very hard this term and have created a new little business in the 5/6 area. It is called ‘Blenders’ Bliss’ and currently has 2 options for purchase.
As a celebration of some of our learning in our ERP we intend having Blender’s Bliss juice days for the school community in Week 9 and then on Wednesday Week 10 for the family members of the 5/6 community during our Health and History Expo (Wednesday, 20th September 2.00-3.30pm)
The two drinks to choose from are:
Pink Crush - milk, banana, Greek yoghurt, strawberries and honey.
Orange Power - pineapple juice, apple, banana, strawberry.
We will be charging $3 per glass of juice and the profit we make will be donated to some of our chosen charities - Cancer Council Foundation, Berry Street, RSPCA and the Salvation Army.
There will be an order form coming around to classes soon. Keep a look out!
Day At Damascus
By Sam M and Charlie R
On Monday, 4th September 2017, the St Columba’s Year 5 students went to Damascus Secondary School. First of all we went on a bush walk to learn a bit about Science. We then split into two groups and went to Maths and Language. Afterwards we went to get something to eat, we got a finger bun and a juice box. Next, we made a rocket in Science and launched it on the oval. Some flew further than others depending on how aerodynamic they were. We went to the gym and played Basketball which was lots of fun! Lastly, we had a tour and got drenched in the rain while waiting for the bus.
