Environmental EducationOur school has adopted a whole-school approach to sustainability. Students learn about sustainability through an integrated curriculum which includes topics such as water, biodiversity, conservation, recycling and energy.

We aim to engage, empower and inspire our children to better understand their role in sustainability and the world around them. We are building a strong community spirit where the wider communities’ knowledge of environmental issues are deepened, tools and practices are shared and environmental sustainability becomes a norm, rather than something extra that we have to think about. |
Once again, all the children in our school did an excellent job of cleaning up our community. The Junior teams spent time on our school yard, the Middles did a great job of tidying the streets around our school and the Seniors walked down to Mark's Reserve in the sweltering heat! Thank you children and teachers for your continued support of this great day each year.
Nude FoodAt St Columba's school we promote Nude Food at school. We ask our families not to bring food with wrappers to school. This helps keep the rubbish down and reduce waste in landfill.
