Arts Festival 2018
In Week 7 of this term, on Wednesday August 29th, between 5:00pm and 7:30pm, St. Columba’s School will be showcasing their amazing Arts Festival.
Our wonderful Parents and Friends Committee will be selling soup and hot food to keep us all warm as we enjoy the amazing efforts of the children.
Calling All Community Artists
Thanks to the Community artists who have expressed interest in displaying their artworks. We would love a few more exhibits. Please contact Clare Fuller cfuller@scballarat.catholic.edu.au if you would like to display some of your art work or can perhaps suggest a candidate. Display spaces will be made available for items such as; pottery, quilting, photography, painting, knitting, drawing.
Performances
At the Arts Festival there will be mini concerts in the hall. Each Learning Community will give a demonstration of some activities from their Performing Arts Lessons. Student participation in these sessions is not compulsory but encouraged. An availability/sign up form will be sent home via PAM shortly. Please discuss this with your child and respond to assist with logistics. The choir will also sing and many of the recent 5/6 Talent Show items will be performed again. A timetable for performances will be sent out soon when finalized. If you have any queries about performances on the night please contact Ruth rhackwill@scballarat.catholic.edu.au
