Japanese Day 2018
You’ve waited patiently and here it is! Japanese Day 2018 will be on Friday 23rd of November so start thinking about your costume! Dress up in a Japanese inspired costume - think Japanese sports, Harajuku fashion, traditional clothing, anime characters. Let Erica know if you get stuck! Volunteers are welcome, please contact the office or speak to Erica to register your interest: ehare@scballarat.catholic.edu.au

Sushi Lunch Orders
Instead of our regular lunch orders, students will have the opportunity to order a special sushi lunch order from Sushi Nova on Japanese Day. Sushi lunch orders will need to be ordered and paid for in advance to ensure Sushi Nova have time to source and prepare ingredients.
Order forms and payment need to be returned to the office by Wednesday 21st November.
Please note that Bodega will not be supplying Lunch Orders on Friday 23rd November.
Sushi orders will consist of 8 bite sized pieces of sushi and will include a pair of chopsticks. Soy sauce and wasabi will be available at school.
Children will be able to choose from the below options at $6.00 per serve.
Option 1: Vegetarian sushi
Option 2: Chicken sushi
Option 3: Mixed sushi (chicken, vegetable, tuna etc)

On Japanese Day, students will participate in a Japanese art activity called Hapa Zome with their Kazoku (family) groups. Hapa Zome is the art of printing on fabric using the natural pigments of flowers and leaves. If you have any colourful flowers or rich pigmented leaves in your garden that you could share, please bring them to the office in a bag or box on Thursday 22nd or Friday 23rd of November. Arigatou gozaimasu!
