Well Done...
To the prep children on participating in our three way chats with such enthusiasm. We were blown away, as I’m sure you were too, by their ability to share their learning journey with you as well as produce some interesting introductions. We are continuing to greet, look at people in the eye and use names in social situations.

I Care for God's World
As part of our RE unit, ‘I care for God’s World’, we will be making a prep community collage using materials from nature that have fallen onto the ground, preferably not picked. Could your child please bring in something small this week.

More than just spelling
Last week’s word of the week was fork. Not only did we learn about spelling the word fork but we also worked on how to set the table. Encourage your children to set the table at home.
PMP Thank you
This week will be our final week of PMP for the year. Our final week will be cancelled due to the Andrew Chinn concert. Many thanks to all the parent volunteers who have assisted us over the term.

Outdoor Classroom Day
We have been waiting for some favourable weather to participate in Outdoor Classroom Day which is a National event organised to encourage families to get outdoors. Learning outdoors:
* creates lasting memories,
* helps build a greater awareness and appreciation of the environment,
* provides more opportunities to think independently, and
* gets children feeling challenged and excited by learning.
We challenge families to get involved in the Green Time v Screen Time family Challenge. Follow link for more information. Green Time V's Screen Time
Use the ‘51 Things to do before you are 12’ as ways of spending quality family time together. (see below)
