- 3/4 Learning Community
Concert
The grade 3 /4 Learning Community are still buzzing from the concert! What an explosion of colour, singing, dancing and excitement. The concert has played a part in our exploration of our Arts ERP and we have been reflecting upon the night’s events in our Art Journals. Mr.Bruty’s and Sharon’s dance number at the end of the evening proved to be a favourite element across the community.
Demi reported, “My favourite dance was definitely the teachers’ dance”.
Kayden in LG4 liked it when “we shook our tail feathers!” in The Blues Brother’s.
Kiera in LG3 just couldn’t decide, saying “I loved all of the acts”.
Book Week
The concert came to an end, but it sure wasn’t long before we were dressing up again, this time for Book Week! The students in the 3 /4 Community came in all sorts of disguises on Monday morning and marking the roll took just a little bit longer. Characters from the Harry Potter Series were among our midst, including Mad Eye Moody, Hermione and Harry himself! We also performed a little drama acting out the story “Little Red”. LG4 describes that “the character was a different little girl to the normal Red Riding Hood. She wasn’t scared and she made a fur coat from the wolf!”
Badminton
Every Tuesday we have been heading off to the Ken Kay Badminton Centre to learn how to play Badminton. For many students this has been a new experience. Throughout a game of Beat the Champ, we caught up with some of the students.
“I haven’t played badminton before, but I think it is great!” Emily O
“Badminton is fun. I have learnt how to serve and hit backhand”. Lotti
“I enjoy badminton; it is all new stuff” Gabby G
