A BIG THANK-YOU...
To all our parents and staff who assisted with our 100 day celebration. The children had a wonderful day and we are certain many went home tired from the excitement and the endless lollies and cake.

Diary of a Wombat Performance at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
A few weeks ago we ventured to Her Majesty’s Theatre to see a live show based on the book ‘Diary of A Wombat’ by Jackie French. It provided children with an opportunity to experience Her Majesty’s Theatre prior to our School concert. The children were fascinated by the behind the scenes tricks that they learnt about following the performance.

PMP
Thank-you to our parents who have been assisting with our PMP sessions. The children are gaining many new skills with the extra help. We love seeing their faces light up when they have learnt or tried something new.
Please see our PMP Parent Helper Roster on the Prep whiteboard.
TIER 2:
Do you ever wonder what your children are talking about when they talk about tier 2 time?
Tier 2 Time is a component of PLC (Professional Learning Communities). It is an extra 40 minutes, 3 times a week, with extra teachers, where children are grouped according to a specific need to have another opportunity for targeted, focussed teaching. Tier 2 is for all children to help them reach standard or above.
Over the past few weeks, we have been focussing on Phonemic Awareness: particularly our rhyming skills and sound segmentation - c/a/t. The children have been enjoying working alongside other children and with different teachers. We have been reminding the children to listen for the end sound as this tells you if it rhymes! But, always remembering, that the letters are not always the same such as in ‘see’ and ‘key’.
