A great way to have a chat or meet some new faces.
All welcome!!
“Save the date”
Peter Rabbit Movie fundraiser on Sunday 18th March - 2pm.
Tickets are on sale now at the school office for $14.00 each. Payments can be made via cash or EFTPOS.
Come along and join us for a lovely family afternoon!
Uniform shop
At the end of last year we farewelled some long standing volunteers of the uniform shop, and now find ourselves in need of some new helpers.
The uniform shop is open Tuesday morning 8.30am – 9.00am and Thursday 3.00pm – 3.30pm.
If you are able to assist, please let the office staff know. All volunteers are required to have a current Working with Children Card and complete the School's Volunteer online module. For further details click here or see Kathy, Chris or Cathy in the office.
Icy Poles
Thank you to our wonderful team of volunteers Icy Poles are once again on sale every Friday lunchtime during Term 1 for $1.00. Children can purchase lemonade, raspberry or cola icy poles.
Junior students (Foundation – Gr 2) will place their orders with their classroom teachers and the icy poles will be delivered to the classroom. All other students will purchase their icy poles from the school hall.
Scholastic Book Club
Please note that the closing date for the current book club orders is Wednesday 14th February.
The best gift any parent can give a child is the love of books and the joy and benefits of independent reading for fun. Children who read at home, or are read to, have a head start on reading success in school.
St Columba’s School is participating in Scholastic Book Club this year. Up to twice a term, during the school year, we will send home a Club catalogue with a different selection of books offered for all ages.
You’ll find award-winning books and bestsellers, as well as old and nefavourites. Highly recommended as the books span a wide range of children’s reading levels and interests and because they are inexpensive (some books cost as little as $2).
It is easy to order. The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to pay by credit card. Your child’s order is submitted directly to school safe and sound and the books will be delivered to your child’s class. You can place your order at scholastic.com.au/LOOP or using the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
Owning your own books is something special! We hope that you will encourage your child to order books this year. Each order helps earn free books and teaching materials for our classrooms, however there is never any obligation to order. There is no better way to encourage reading than to allow children to choose the books they want to read.
Please find below some helpful information in regards to the book club.
