Included this week in Sustainability News:-
- Semester 1 Update
- Lunchbox Tips
What a semester it has been for our school in sustainability! We have began implementing our Waste and Litter reduction plan, stopped litter from entering our school yard and installed a new composting system.
We have completed our “Waste Module” as part of our participation in Resourcesmart (Sustainability Victoria) and are currently waiting for our tasks to be verified, fingers crossed!
Please find below our Biannual Sustainability Report.
Another reminder to families that starting next term any lunch wrappers brought to school will be sent home in children’s lunch boxes.
Lunchbox tip #2 Make Your Own Muesli Bars
If your kids eat muesli bars, make your own! There are lots of recipes out there and it is quite easy to just press the ingredients into a baking tray, cook them up and then cut them into serves...usually getting about 12 bars out of a tray (more that what you’d get in a packet!).
If you’re not sure where to start, there is a delicious packet mix version in the health food section of most supermarkets.
