Learning & Teaching

At our school, we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive in a calm, supportive and engaging environment. Our teaching is grounded in educational research and designed to give students the very best start to their learning journey.

Building Strong Foundations

Each morning, our classrooms focus on literacy through a structured approach. All of our teachers are trained in the Sounds-Write program, which helps children develop strong reading skills step by step. By building these essential foundations early, we set our students up for long-term success.

Creating Calm and Focused Classrooms

We know children learn best when they feel safe, supported and engaged. That’s why we have a strong behaviour curriculum that promotes respect, responsibility and calm learning spaces. This helps every child feel confident to participate and achieve their best.

A Curriculum That Grows With Your Child

Our curriculum is carefully designed so that learning builds year after year. Key ideas and concepts are introduced in the early years and revisited in deeper ways as children grow. This means that the learning in Foundation and Year 1 is not only important for now, but also prepares students for future learning right through to the senior years.

Hands-On Learning Opportunities

We know that children love to explore and create, and we give them plenty of chances to apply what they’ve learnt in practical and meaningful ways:

  • Junior Years (Foundation – Year 2): Students enjoy Investigation Time, where they explore ideas through play and discovery. This allows them to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.

  • Middle and Senior Years (Years 3 – 6): Students take part in Project Learning. These projects encourage creativity, problem-solving and teamwork, as children research, design and share their learning in exciting ways.

Bright, Flexible Learning Spaces

Our classrooms are modern, flexible and full of light — designed to support different styles of learning. Literacy and numeracy are always a priority, as these core skills open doors to success across all areas of the curriculum.
